Report from Sam Panapa - Head of Plant Protection & Quarantine at Government of Tuvalu, Tuvalu
Location: Fongafale, Funafuti, Tuvalu
A bird was found in the Government building and brought to the Head of Plant Protection & Quarantine at Government of Tuvalu, by quarantine staff to identify; details were posted on lNaturalist, and confirmation received that the bird was the Jungle myna (Acridotheres fuscus). This is the only known incursion. The pathway of introduction is not confirmed as yet.
